Penulis : Bonarsius Saragih, SH., MH. | | . | Abstract | | | | In performing duty and authority, Indonesian Republic State Police (POLRI) as a sub system of criminal justice should be controlled and supervised as a characteristic of a system. Supervisory and control are aimed at giving assurance that Indonesian Republic State Police is a professional institution, and also as a democratic organization and assures accountability; political accountability, policy and also operational accountability. Indonesian Republic State Police has already possessed its own internal supervisors: General Supervisory Inspectorate (Irwasum), Profession and Internal Supervisory (Propam), Regional Supervisory Inspectorate (Irwasda). External Supervisors is hoped to be taken from National Police Comission (Kompolnas), but its authority is only to receive complaint from society and gives suggestion to the President.
